Quarryman® Pro

Quarryman® Pro is the latest version of MDL's Industry Standard laser rock profiling system, Quarryman®, now in use by most major surface mine and quarry operators.

The system uses include 3D rockface profiling (to determine rockface geometry and blast hole burdens), stockpile volume measurement and 3D mapping of entire mine sites. Powerful yet simple to use, the equipment has proved to significantly increase productivity, reduce the incidents of fly rock, airblast and excessive vibration by accurately determining blasthole burdens and rockface geometry. 

The Quarryman® Pro now enables users to operate the instrument like a conventional total station and as a Quarryman® auto scanner/ rock profiler and fast 3D laser scanner (up to 250 points per second), without sacrificing Quarryman®'s ease of use and rugged reliability. 32MB of data (>3million points) can be stored on an external CF card.

The extremely rugged design is enhanced with a simple menu structure for maximum efficiency. On board logging removes the necessity for loggers and cables and the data from the system can be downloaded to the suite of MDL software ranging from simple 2D profiling to comprehensive 3D rock face analysis.

Compatible with all previous generations of MDL equipment, the Quarryman® Pro can be integrated with results from the Boretrak® deviation systems to complete the blast geometry picture when downloaded and integrated to the software.
