Laser & Measurement Devices are pleased to announce the undertaking of a new franchise agreement with Measurement Devices Limited (MDL) UK. Under the franchise agreement, which will cover Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands, Laser & Measurement Devices will operate as Measurement Devices Limited, Australia (MDL Australia).

MDL UK has established the franchise as part of a wider strategy to develop its international presence and to provide consistent, high-quality after sales and technical service. With offices in Aberdeen, York and Houston, Texas; MDL continue to supply innovative laser technologies and survey solutions.

MDL Australia is an operating division of Impact Drilling Pty Limited. Impact Drilling, which was founded in 1999, is one of the largest providers of drilling, and a major provider of blasting and related services, to the extractive industries in South East Australia. Comprising Impact Drilling, Quarry Systems and MDL Australia, the company is based in Melbourne, Australia.

MDL Australia will continue to provide the same high levels of service and support, and will aim to reduce the response times for all ongoing repairs and maintenance. MDL Australia has undertaken extensive work and upgrades to become further established as an authorised MDL Repair, Service and Support Centre, offering our customers turnkey support for the full range of MDL products, including Sales, Service, Repair, Calibration and Rentals.
